Why did the Africans lose the war to the Germans?

Kinjikitiles false propaganda of the magic water didn't provide immunity against the German bullets as he had claimed hence many Africans losing confidence

Poor organization Africans did not make enough preparation before the war people just joined the rebellion basing on kinjikitiles propaganda

There was no military training carried out to prepare the Africans for the war

There waa lack of unity among the various tribes as sometimes there would be clashes and fighting among themselves

The hehe, chagga and the nyamwezi did not join the rebellion which reduced the power and ability of those who were fighting

The scorched earth policy employed by the German left many homes ,food stores and gardens destroyed hence famine affected the maji maji warriors

Superiority of the German forces Africans depended on traditional and crude weapons like spears bows and arrows compared to the German who had guns

Maji maji fighters lacked persistence some tribes pulled out leaving fellow fighters to suffer with the brunt of the German forces

The German received help from their home country in form of guns and troops Africans like the Zulu Sudanese and the Somalis were called to help as mercenaries

The slave traders who had taken away the energetic and left the weak ones who could not do much in case of an attack

Africans had poor economies that could not sustain a prolonged war against a rich and powerful country like German

The Germans were also determined to takeover Tanganyika whether hook or crook

The death of their leader kinjikitile made the rebellion lose continuity and strength.
